CANNA Calmag Agent

Calmag Agent is a product specifically designed for buffering soft water, with the goal of improving water quality. It increases the calcium and magnesium levels of this type of water, resulting in a higher EC level. Water care is essential to achieve optimal results in your crops.

Calmag Agent application mode

This is a concentrated product, so we only need to add 0.1-0.5ml/liter of water.

Shake the product well, fill your nutrient solution tank with 20-22°C water, and add Calmag Agent until you reach an EC of 0.45 mS/cm. Then mix the nutrients and additives.

What should water be like to be of quality?

Depending on the area you are in, there are different types of water: soft, normal, hard, or bad.

• Soft water : EC <0.3. Use Calmag Agent to raise the EC level to 0.4.
• Normal water : EC between 0.3-0.5..
• Hard water : Ec > 0.5.
• Bad water : contains sodium and chloride, so the plant cannot ingest the necessary nutrients or it is directly toxic water for the plant.

Water with an EC level between 0.4 and 0.5 is optimal for your plants, with good levels of calcium, magnesium, and bicarbonate, which balance the pH. With Calmag Agent, you can raise the EC level in your water, compensating for its deficiencies.

For water with higher or poor EC levels, you'll need to use a reverse osmosis filter. The resulting water can be mixed with hard water or Calmag Agent can be used until an EC of 0.4 is reached.
